Papamoa beach with Rush

for the last 2 and a half weeks my family and I had a house sit a Papamoa beach, we had to look after 2 dogs, Rush and Honey, and 2 cats, Fern the kitten and Paddy, we also had GREAT wifi so i could play minecraft with my best friend Oliver! Rush would do anything for the ball and he would beg for it even at night time witch got a bit annoying at times, and honey was a bird chaser 5000! She would chase the birds 24/7 if she could, and Fern was a playful fur ball with claws of steel! They where all very well behaved because there owner was a dog trainer and Rush was a retired search and rescue dog.

On the way there we went through Paeroa home of the mighty L & P (if you didn’t know L&P stands for Lemon and paeroa and it is like the NZ version of Lift but SOOOOOOOO much better) we also saw loads of cool mailboxes but these three where my favourite, we saw other cool ones like a microwave and surf boards. This marlin wasn’t ours but we where driving around Mount Maunganui and saw a bunch of people around this trailer so we got out and had a look and there it was a GIGANTIC marlin! We went to Mount Maunganui for lunch and a swim and i found these cool rocks to jump off and dad caught some cool slomo videos of me jumping off the rocks and it was AWESOME! after that was when we saw the marlin.

This week we have been doing a house sit for some farmers in Patetonga, near Thames and The Coromandel Peninsula south of Auckland. They have sheep, cows, chickens and a cat.

We love it here it is a HUGE house with a TV!!!! In the morning me and Dad go and give the old sheep a tub of yogurt full of this Multi-Meal stuff and get some fresh tangelos so she can gum them (because she has no teeth).

Then after feeding the old sheep we go feed the cows three bucks of the Multi-Meal (only 1 scoop from the yogurt box) and they LOVE it! the cows are young boys. I forgot to say before we feed the old sheep we give the chickens some mash and at night we give them wheat seeds and collect their eggs.

After we have fed every thing we go and move the sheep (not the old one but all the others) from one paddock to the other it was funny the first time we did it dad took a photo and thought he needs more view and took one step back and WACK! The electric fence zapped him!! On Saturday we feed the gold fish.

We sadly leave on Wednesday but we still have a couple more days! hope you enjoyed!

2nd floor COMPLETED

So Oliver and I decided to finish The Mansion and Oliver had a great idea! He said lets call it The Fansion. So we made the second floor it has our bedroom and bathroom and Changing room. We had most difficulties with the changing room and you will hear why soon.

In the bathroom we have a shower that I made were it turns on and off and we have a HUGE spa, it takes up most of the room and looks great, we also have a villager in a hanging cage called Hmm because in minecraft they make a humming sound. and we have a toilet.

Our room is quite big it has a big bed for Oliver and I it has stairs up to the changing room, An entrance to the Party floor (go to my other post for more info) and a net above the bed for decoration.

In the Changing Room we have a Big set of chairs, another way to the party roof and we have two changing stations were you put your cloths in and it puts them on you. It took a long LONG time and we spent like 2 hours doing the redstone. We both liked my invention so we used it.

We have decided to buy a car, it is a green station wagon its 4 wheel drive its automatic and its BIG and comfy.

We went to the shops looking for things (in my case Lego™) In the end we had gone to farmers and toy world but didn’t get any then we went to The Warehouse and found it, I did lots of math to figure out how much it costs because of the discounts and coincidently we were doing discounts and percentages in home schooling so i got to test it out in reality. I ended up buying 2 Ultra Agent Lego™ sets 1 was a cool agent car and the other was a small agent buggy/jetski.

the big one was $50 and the small one was $20, they both had a discount of 20% and I was able to work out in my head to be (together) $56 which I payed for with my money from my B-day and X-mas.

Lately sweet corn has come to season so it is very cheap($1.50 for 6 sweet corn!!!!), we have been eating corn like pigs for the last couple days and I helped dad cook the sweet corn.

I have been reading a book Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda (all 8 books in 1) it is my favourite book EVER! I am up to the fifth book. It is based in a medieval mythical land called Deltora (hence the name “Deltora”  Quest) and the main city is Del (again “Del”tora) a magical belt has lost its seven gems all holding good blessings but together in the belt the power keeps away the evil Shadow Lord, the seven gems are the Topaz, Ruby, Diamond, Amethyst, Lapis Luzuli, Opal and the Emerald. The three companions, Lief, Jasmine and Barda with Jasmines raven Kree and her little furry brown creature on her shoulder Filli, are looking for the Gems to restore peace, but they are guarded by terrifying creatures in the scariest/most dangerous of places.

This is my minecraft mansion I have spent about 2-3 hours on it but its still not done, there is a kitchen, aquarium, wine seller with a secret door to a test subject, a 2nd floor (not finished), a balcony, and a party roof top with a DJ place and a Dance Floor. In the Kitchen we have a fridge, stove, choping board, coffee machine, cupboards with coffee cups and knives cleavers and spatulas.  On the balcony we have a BBQ, and on the roof Oliver (my friend who owns the server) decided to put a penguin up there and i thought that was pretty funny.

I made this on my friends server (server is where you can play with others) because we needed to live some where so i decided i would make us a mansion so I did and boy was it hard it was 47x14x15 m, I worked very hard on it for about 20 mins a day.

I have decided to do this because I love minecraft and I worked hard on it so i hope you like it!

On Jan 8th it was my birthday and I woke up early in the morning to open my presents and every 2 to 3 minutes i would say “can i open my presents!” and of course the answer was a sleeping noise so i had to wait until mum and dad got up.

I opened my presents and I got lego and 3 DS games as well as some money to add to my collection. I liked all my presents, later on we went to auckland and went to silo park on the water front where there was a thing on where there were hola hoops and basket balls etc. it was very fun we had lunch and a ice cream then we went home and cooked dinner on the new BBQ. Best birthday ever.

This Xmas We went to my Great Aunty Robyn’s house and we stayed there for 2 days. We drove up there on Xmas day it took us 4 hours and we stopped at Whangarei . Dad told me about when he and his dad sailed there, because we stopped for lunch at a park next to the harbour and thats where they stayed for about a month. after lunch we kept going to Rawene, where robyn lives.

On boxing day we went to Panguru, where one of dads friends, Steve, was buried. Then we went to a marae where dad met up with an old friend named Boxer and he invited us in where there was an unveiling of 2 of Boxers cousins, (in Maori culture an unveiling is a ceremony held quite a while after the funeral when they believe the spirit has left the body).

When we went in the marae we got to join a feast that was going on and there were about 100 people there.

To get to Panguru from Rawene we had to cross Hokianga Harbour on a ferry.

after Melbourne we went to Aukland and we got first class it was awesome then we drove to Piha and we went to the beach and i lifted the mountain called Lion rock and then we climbed it the next day dad lost me at the beach but eventually i found him mum was super worried.

when we went to my cousins place we went go karting, we got to go on our horse JJ and we went to the beach at Lorne, Tim and I only had a swim we also went to a waterfall that was AWESOME.

this week we went from hobart to Melbourn to King Island and so far we’ve gone to a party and had pig on a spit

and fresh lamb it was cold and we went on walks on the beach and chased seagulls with andrew and di’s dog Joli Joli

by the way andrew and di are the people were staying with we’ve also been to an island off King Island and horse races
